Description

Long spikes of pale green shell like bracts with white flowers which can be used in flower arranging ‘as is’ or dried for Winter decoration – perhaps sprayed gold or silver?

Reaches around 2" feet (75 cm) tall, it is ideal for bedding and borders.

  • Half-hardy Annual.
  • Excellent for cut flowers.
  • Flowers July to September.
  • Grows to approximately 2 feet (75 cm) tall.
  • Sow under protection in Spring in seed trays and lightly cover.
  • Germination can be slow, but can be speeded up placing the sown tray in a fridge (not freezer) for two weeks or so before moving to warmth and light.
  • Transplant into pots when large enough to handle and grow on.
  • Harden off and plant out after the risk of any further frosts, planting 8” (20 cm) apart.
