Our Feedback
I recently ordered 3x3 different colours of hyssop. One lot died and so I had to re-order. Victoriana nursery were great & very quickly they sent some more. All are now doing well! Under the pressure of delivering all their lovely plants online, during covid19, they have been marvellous and I will certainly use them again!

Description

In our opinion these are one of the prettiest and most striking perennial border plants there is - and certainly one of the easiest to grow!

Hebaceous in habit, these die back to virtually nothing over ther winter. Come the spring, delicate lacey foliage breaks from the ground to form pretty grey-green clumps - which from late May through to July are topped by the disticntive bonnet-shaped flowers in a myriad colours. Planted on mass at the front of a border they look particularly pretty 'nodding' on breazy days.

Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.

  • Flower late May to July.
  • Grow to approximately 8" (20 cm) tall. Flower at approximately 2 feet (60 cm).
  • Thrive in full sun or partial shade.
  • Prefer a rich moisture retentive soil.
  • Plant 12" (30 cm) apart.
