Pollinator Friendly

Description

Just like its red counterpart, 'Hinnonmaki Yellow' originates from Finland and so has excellent Winter hardiness making this an 'easy' variety to grow - though the habit of the plant is slightly more lax than the red and so will benefit from some support.

Cropping is excellent with the yellow fruits being medium to large in size. Gorgeously sweet and aromatic, they are flavoured with a slight hint of apricot.

  • Harvest from July.
  • In bush form 'Hinnonmaki Yellow' is best planted 5 x 5 feet (1.5 x 1.5 metres) apart and kept at around 3 - 4 feet (90 - 120 cm) tall.
  • Mildew resistant.
  • Self Fertile.
