Description

So versatile for rockery, for Bonsai, for a miniature rose garden or for a dwarf rose hedge. Originating from China, a true miniature, multi-flowered polyantha rose. Utterly Winter hardy. They thrive in clay and poor soil too.

They come to you in a mixed colour selection of shades of pink, crimson, rose, white and the occasional apricot shade. Semi, fully double and single blooms in profusion. Each perfect in form and smaller than a thimble, slightly scented too!

The flowers are edible although it is recommended that you remove the white heel at the base of the petals first. It is said the stronger the scent the stronger the flavour!

Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.

  • Can flower from June to September.
  • Can reach 2 feet (75 cm) tall.
  • Plant 9" apart.
  • Trim back in early spring to keep plants tight and compact and encourage profuse flowering.
  • Dead head to prolong flowering.
