Description
Tall variety of parsley with large open green plain leaves.
Freezes well.
A member of the carrot family infact!
- Hardy-biennial.
- Reaches 12 - 30" (30 - 80 cm) tall.
- Flowers as long, stalk-like, green umbels in June-July (if the plant flowers the leaves become inedible and the plant will die, so simply remove them to prolong the plant's life).
- Likes a rich moist soil in part shade.
- Aromatic and vigorous.
- Sow thinly 18" (45 cm) apart in spring and/or late summer for a winter crop.
- Cover lightly with soil.
- Germination can take 6-7 weeks.
- Pick leaves regularly.
- Full of minerals and vitamins.
- Culinary Uses.
- Used for soups and stews.
- Excellent garnish for the top of almost any dish!
- Can be added to salad and sandwiches.
