Sweet and juicy plums - one of the tree fruits that really needs to be picked fresh from the tree to get the best flavour!
We supply our pruned, bare root plum trees in the dormant season and potted in summer direct from our family-run nursery in Kent, providing a selection of plum tree varieties - including the hugely popular Victoria plum tree - that offer the best tasting fruits and maintain a well-deserved reputation for cropping the most reliably.
Throughout the last few hundred years, the plum tree has earned its place as a formidable feature in the typical British kitchen garden, and for good reason. Edible homegrown plums serve a multitude of culinary purposes, featuring as a key ingredient in many a dessert, pie, crumble and preserve recipe. In modern times, the emergence of self fertile plum tree varieties has meant that even smaller gardens can become host to this popular fruit tree.
Here at Victoriana Nursery Gardens, we supply a selection of plum trees for sale, direct from our growing fields. The plum trees that appear in our listings are the culmination of several years' worth of growing, harvesting and taste testing (such hard work!), and as such represent what we believe to be the best of the bunch. Perennial favourite the Victoria plum tree and another British classic, 'Czar', feature alongside lesser known but equally delicious American varieties, and all cope well with our changeable British climate.
