Red Currant Bush Rovada
Ribes rubrum 'Rovada'

Description
Commercially Rovada is now the most widely planted cultivar of red currant planted - and for very good reason...
Fruiting at the latter end of the season it produces long strings of large berries with a bright and attractive appearance, making them easy to harvest. More importantly the flavour is outstanding.
Without training it will produce an open slightly spreading bush, but is also perfect for growing on wires or as a cordon.
Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.
- Harvest from late July - August.
- Self fertile.
- In bush form 'Rovada' is best planted 5 x 5 feet (1.5 x 1.5 metres) apart and kept at around 4 - 5 feet (1.2 - 1.5 metres) tall.
