Our Feedback

Once again I have been delighted with the Climbing French beans I ordered from you. Both Blue Lake and Fasold have cropped well with delicious tender beans. No need to try to germinate seeds when I can buy such excellent plants.

An old fashioned favourite in a grand mix of colours. These have been a popular garden plant and cut flower since the 17th Century so popular due to their stunning flowers and gorgeous scent. They also make a lovely subject for Winter flowering in the cold greenhouse.

  • Tender Annual.
  • Excellent for Cut Flowers.
  • Flowers June - September.
  • Grows to approximately 15" (38 cm) tall.
  • Sow February - April in seed trays and just cover.
  • Germinate and grow on under protection. Reducing growing on temperature after germination will encourage seedling colour differentiation as only the paler yellow / green seedlings will go on to produce double flowers (the dark green will produce single flowers so disregard).
  • When large enough to handle prick out (transplant) into individual pots or module trays.
  • When rooted through and more mature harden off and plant out after the risk of any further frosts, planting 12" by 15" (30 cm by 38 cm) apart.
