Sweetcorn Plant Minipop (Babycorn)
Zea mays var. rugosa 'Minipop'
- Pale yellow, sweet and crunchy babycorn cobs.
- Easy to grow (no cross pollinating required as for other sweetcorn varieties).
- Vigorous and very reliable habit.
- Each plant can produce four or five babycorn.
- F1 Hybrid.
Do not plant out (without protection) until fear of frost has passed.
Supplied as compost block grown plants.

Description
Each plant will produce four to five pale yellow babycorns that are best harvested when around 4" - 6" (10 - 15 cm) long (they get a little woody at the base if you let them get too big).
Unlike the dried up 'apologies for babycorn' you regularly find in the supermarkets you'll find your home grown to be crunchy and sweet, full of flavour - perfect for salads, stir fry's or steaming.
Vigorous in habit, these are reliable and easy to grow. And as you eat the cobs when they are juvenile there is no need to worry about growing in blocks to aid pollination.
