Our Feedback
Hello. I haven't ordered yet as I am waiting until I move but I really enjoyed looking at your site and the descriptions of the plants. Your ad in the newspaper made me smile: "Grape vines, not silly twigs!" Looking forward to ordering lots from you once I am settled.
Michele Haynes, Leicester
Supplied as compost block grown plants approximately 5" (13 cm) tall.
This Product is Available Now.Proven since our re-introduction in 1964 - this heavy cropping remontant strawberry produces delicate yet small sized fruits that have a superb flavour which is more subtle than conventional larger fruits. These plants don't produce runners.
The fruits are seldom seen for sale in England, but in France we have seen little baskets of these strawberries on sale everywhere all Summer and Autumn.
Being an 'ever-bearer' the plants form dense clumps from which the tiny fruits appear; will even grow and perform in semi shade. Fruiting starts early Summer and will continue intermittently until the late Autumn, though given cloche protection it is possible to even extend fruiting into the Winter
Many years ago these were described by Max Davidson in the Sunday Express as, "the little Strawberry with the big flavour".
Also known as wild strawberry, woodland strawberry, Carpathian Strawberry, European Strawberry or fraisier des bois.
These were featured on the BBC Great British Garden Revival presented by Alys Fowler - who came to see us in the Summer to talk about all sorts of berries, and this just happened to be one of her favourites!
