Mr McGregor's Garden

In early 2006 we were contacted by a Mr Ernie Brown of Beacon Hill Allotment & Leisure Gardeners - who hoped to create an allotment on Cleethorpes seafront. Being the mad people that we are we thought this was a great idea and so donated the seeds and plants necessary.

The project was such a success that it was repeated for several years running - always with our support. Amazingly (and thankfully) vandalism was never a major problem. Based on its location, we beleive this to have been one of the most viewed 'allotments' ever - and will always wonder just how many people this encouraged to take up the hobby of vegetable gardening.

Sadly 'local politics' eventually saw an end to it.
