Citrus Mediterranean Sweet LemonCitrus limettaConfusingly this is sometimes known as the Sweet Lemon or the Sweet Lime! Very popular in Italy, this Citrus produces rounded fruits of a light orange yellow colour. The flesh is greenish in colour and has a slightly sweet rather than acidic flavour - as does the juice. Can be grown outside through the Spring and Summer months but needs frost protection (a minimum of 5°C and ideally 10°C or higher). Supplied as a grafted tree - bushy and approximately 2ft tall.
