These are the forerunner of all modern Sweet Peas dating back to the times of Admiral Nelson. We supply a mixture of these preserved heritage varieties. This ‘mix’ includes such varieties as Edward VII, Matucana, Prima Donna and Eckford varieties. These are smaller flowers than ‘Spencers’ and come in a reduced colour range. Their great attribute is their extremely strong perfume that attracts Summer Butterflies. A row of Sweet Peas in the vegetable garden helps pollination of peas and beans - a practice Grandad Shirley always applied (though please note the 'peas' and pods of Sweet Pea plants are poisonous).
