The result of a cross between Newton Wonder and Blenheim Orange - this variety produces huge cooking apples with a gorgeous sweet flavour. Fruits stay firm and do not collapse when cooked. Popular variety for showing due to the size of the fruits.
Grown on MM106 rootstock for an ultimate (un-pruned) height of 12-15 feet but can easily be kept at a height of 6-8 feet. Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.
