Supplied as a bare root tree pruned to approximately 4 - 5 feet (1.2 - 1.5 metres) tall including roots.

The result of a cross between Newton Wonder and Blenheim Orange - this variety produces huge cooking apples with a gorgeous sweet flavour.

Fruits stay firm and do not collapse when cooked. Popular variety for showing due to the size of the fruits.

Season of use October - March.
First introduced 1915, Isle Of White, UK.
Self Sterile - requires a pollinator (another apple).
Grown on MM106 rootstock for an ultimate (un-pruned) height of 12 - 15 feet (3.65 - 4.6 metres) but can easily be kept at a height of 6 - 8 feet (1.8 - 2.4 metres).
