An old favourite likened to cox - but a larger fruit! Season of use October - January. First introduced 1897, Bedfordshire, UK. Partially self fertile but pollination by another apple will maximise yield. Grown on M26 root stock for an ultimate (un-pruned) height of 8-12 feet but can easily be kept at a height of 6-8 feet.
