Supplied as a potted tree pruned to approximately 4 - 5 feet (1.2 - 1.5 metres) tall including pot.

 

 

A popular cider variety, described as full bittersweet. Frost resistant blossoms are  followed by a heavy crop of deep red conical fruits.

  • Season of use October.
  • First introduced in the 19th Century, Exe Valley, UK.
  • Self Sterile - requires a pollinator (another apple).
  • Grown on M25 rootstock for an ultimate (un-pruned) height of 25 feet (8 metres).

Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.
