Plum Tree 'Jefferson'Prunus domestica 'Jefferson'
Of great value in commerce due to its heavy reliable cropping habit. Flesh golden yellow. Excellent dessert variety of good juicy flavour. Season of use late August. First introduced 1825, USA. Requires a pollinator (another plum or gage). Grown on St Julien A root stock for an ultimate (un-pruned) height of 12-15 feet but can easily be kept at a height of 6-8 feet.
