Supplied as bare root plants approximately 3 - 4 feet (90 - 120 cm) in height including roots.

Splendid quality well rooted plants to ensure a really glorious breathtaking screen that filters out wind, grime and noise. Shirleys' Whispering Willows are quite lovely Sometimes also known as the Osier Willow. Environmentally beneficial in removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. If you wish these can reach 20-24ft high in 3-4 years Alternatively cut back once a year. Nothing screens an eyesore more quickly. Please note, these are well rooted plants, not un-rooted willow sets.

Plant 18" apart.
Ultimate height 30 feet. Can be trimmed to any height above 3 feet. Average annual growth rate 4 - 5 feet.
Ultimate width 15 feet. Can be trimmed to any width over 2 feet.
Grows well in most soil types (including chalky and clay) including those prone to laying wet.
Suitable for most aspects from full sun to partial shade. Does not perform well in dense shade.
Suitable for coastal areas.
Suitable for exposed / windy positions.
We are not aware that this plant is poisonous.
Plant Autumn / Winter / Spring / Summer.

Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.
