Description

This is the plant for open borders or partial shade beneath trees where dappled sunlight can filter through. We have offered this reliable variety since the early 1960s - so easily grown, and so majestic with its towering spikes of bloom.

A lovely colour selection including pinks, purples, creams and whites - as well with spotted and marked trumpet flowers.

Perfect for the cottage garden, more formal border or even the wild flower meadow.

Recognised to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.

  • Hardy biennial - though will readily self seed (hence why we include them in perennials).
  • Flowers late May - early August.
  • Grows to approximately 5-6 feet (1.5-1.8 metres) tall.
  • Thrives in full sun or partial shade and a deep rich soil.
  • Will also perform well in full sun though flowering period will be reduced.
  • Plant approximately 12-18" (30-45 cm) apart.
