Chamomile Plant

Chamaemelum nobile

Many folk have found chamomile tea (from health food shops) very soothing to both mind and body - and of course chamomile is used in some 'healing cosmetics'.

Here is the opportunity to have pots of the actual growing chamomile in your home - on your bedside table. Keep in good light conditions by day, move closer to your bed at night. The subtle fragrance can bring relief to those with insomnia and the scent of chamomile is helpful to those with breathing difficulties too. We suggest you place the pot grown plants on an old saucer or plate to avoid drips from watering reaching nice things.

How To Grow Chamomile

Keep just moist, not soggy wet.
When it grows to about 4" high give it a 'hair cut' with a pair of sharp scissors - you can use the 'clippings' to make an infusion of chamomile tea, either green or dried!
If you wish, in about 3 months you can divide your plants up and plant into more pots to make more plants!
