Improving year on year this remarkable perennial produces very striking crimson red foliage - a feature in itself. But come July/August the crowning beauty are the spikes of flowers standing 2-3 feet tall that bear the most brilliant crimson red flowers you did ever see. True Victorian splendour! What's more, it is a long lasting excellent cut flower and looks most impressive in a crystal vase.
