This really is a beautiful herb that produces large ivy like leaves with a most pungent scent when squeezed - a vague likeness to tangerine and sandalwood.

It spreads by stolons and is most attractive for pond side planting and grows well in boggy soil.

Bright green leaves become overlaid with creamy-yellow then splashed pinky-red and as Summer comes lovely shades of crimson red.
