Thyme lawns are seldom seen these days which is a shame. In the Edwardian era they were very popular - and rightly so as they make a really lovely aromatic lush green 'carpet' surmounted in Summer with pretty pink flowers. Once established it needs very little attention - a trim perhaps once or twice a year at the most - and of course you can use those trimmings in the kitchen. Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects. Supplied as compost block grown plants.
