Supplied as compost block grown plants (mixed colours).

These polyanthus are really tough and hardy, and after flowering is over can be transplanted to a shady spot in the garden to 'rest' before replanting for the next Season. These come to you in our special mixed colour selection to include cream & yellow shades, deep crimson, plum red, almost violet and pink.

What is so special about these, unlike modern polyanthus hybrids, is the lovely perfume when warm Spring sunshine arrives - and attracts the first butterflies! Can be grown in pots as well as the open ground. Seven months of rain between September 2000 and April 2001 left these unscathed from flooding. A miraculous plant in every way.

Flowers March to May.
Grows to approximately 1 ft high.
Thrives in full sun or partial shade and a deep rich soil.
Plant 10" apart.
