Rambling Cascade Hanging Strawberry Basket

For several years now we have sold these to our calling customers from the nursery as pre-planted baskets. "What a wonderful idea" and "don't they look fabulous" are the typical comments they attract.

It would be virtually impossible to pack and dispatch a pre-planted basket such as in the picture and guarantee safe delivery so we now offer planting kits - everything you need to easily (and quickly) make up your own. All you need is to unpack, plant up and hang up!

The effect seen in the picture can be achieved within about eight weeks during the active growing season - and the runners can go on to trail as far as five feet. Can be grown outside from approximately mid May onwards; ideally should be over-wintered under protection. From time to time you can root runners to produce further plants for your basket or for your garden or window boxes.
