Our Feedback
Ordered 60 Pearlwort plugs in mid-July as a low maintenance alternative to grass. Packaging and protection was excellent and plugs were in superb condition. I split each plug into 4 and planted directly into the soil which had been well prepared beforehand. The somewhat warmer summer meant more frequent watering to ensure the plugs settled into place. By next summer I anticipate the soil between the stepping stones in the garden to be completely filled with pearlwort. It is planted in direct sun and deeply shaded areas but all are growing and spreading well. Most of the plugs flowered and the spread has been quite amazing. Because of the layout, a lawnmower or strimmer would not fit so an alternative had to be found. Victoriana Nursery provided the perfect solution - a low maintenance grass alternative which also produces small white flowers. Everyone who sees it loves the look and the idea of no real maintenance. Victoriana Nursery has a range of unusual plants so I will definitely be after future purchases and spreading the word to those who are curious or are 'green fingered'. Great value for money. Keep the area weed free as the plants spread and weeds will be a thing of the past.

Supplied as a pot grown plant approximately 2 feet (60 cm) tall including pot.
This Product is Available Now.This really is a pretty subject to grow - and looks no less out of place in the ornamental garden as it does in the soft fruit cage.
Through the Winter months the bare stems look wonderful as they are bright red and covered with hundreds of spines that make them almost look fury. Come the Spring bright green foliage appears which pales to an almost yellow-white at the time of fruiting.
Following a beautiful show of flower clusters of bright orange berries are formed which mature to a dark red colour - all ripening at the same time. The fruits are very juicy and have a gorgeous sweetness.
