Raspberry Cane 'Polka'Rubus idaeus 'Polka'Whilst some fruit catalogues list this as a 'new' variety for 2008 here at Victoriana we have been growing and selling this since 2003! An outstanding introduction from Poland. Polka was bred by Dr Jan Denek and produces exceptionally large delicious fruit with an average weight of 6.6 grams per berry. Truly high yielding. This has established itself throughout Europe and beyond as first class. It won 1st & 2nd prizes in the best raspberry competition at the 2006 UK National Fruit Show. Starts cropping mid July with peak yield mid August and can crop until mid November! Primocane - produces fruit on first year wood.
