Description

Sometimes called 'Hino Red', this is probably one of the easiest varieties of Gooseberries there is to grow.

Originating from Finland, it is very hardy and also has the added benefit of being mildew resistant.

Heavy cropping, the bright red fruits are sweet and very juicy.

  • Harvest from July.
  • In bush form 'Hinnonmaki Red' is best planted 5 x 5 feet (1.5 x 1.5 metres) apart and kept at around 3 - 4 feet (90 - 120 cm) tall.
  • Mildew resistant.
  • Self Fertile.
