The hottest of the three most popular chilli varieties used in Mexico (Ancho, Jalapeño and Serrano) this is a fantastic variety for all sorts of culinary exploits!

A little later to mature than some varieties this also helps to extend the cropping Season and (under protection) its not unusual to still have good quality fruit in November and late December.

With thick and crunchy flesh these are great for slicing and dicing. That thick flesh also helps add 'bulk' if used in sauces.

The immature fruits vary in colour from pale to dark green, but mature to a deep red - varying from 3" - 5" (7.5 - 13 cm) in length and 2" (5 cm) wide. As a plant they grow to around 3 feet (90 cm) tall with a similar spread.

  • Origin: Mexico.
  • Heat: Medium.

Medium Chilli: 5000 - 15,000 SHU's

Supplied as compost block grown plants.
