Our very careful evaluation reveals the problem and needs of the home gardener sowing just one variety of lettuce is that often 50% or more that are grown are wasted as they all come at once - fine for the commercial grower who wants to clear his crop!

Our blend of 15 distinct varieties includes old fashioned Buttercrunch types, so called Iceberg or the crisp traditional Webbs Wonderful, Cos, Loose Leafed, Red Lettuce and Batavian types.

With this blend your cropping spread over 8-9 weeks, depending on how many your plant and how quickly you eat them!

Also ideal for salad leaf production as you can keep picking the young leaves. You will like this selection.

• Plant outside after fear of frost, setting out 12" (30 cm) apart in rows 12" (30 cm).

• Top Tips
• Plant every 2 - 3 weeks to ensure a succession of lettuces throughout the Summer and early Autumn.
• Through the late Autumn and over-winter plants can still be planted outside, though will mature quicker if grown under protection.
