Popular in Mediterranean and Asian cooking, Aubergines - or Eggplants as they are often known - can easily be grown in the UK.

Growing in a greenhouse or polytunnel will produce the largest crops - but in a sheltered sunny spot outside they will still produce a very worthwhile crop.

In this packet we blend black and white varieties (Snowy and Black Beauty) thus giving you an extended cropping season (white come earliest) as well as colour interest.

Supplied as a packet of approximately 45 seeds.

How To Sow & Grow Aubergines

Sow under protection two seeds per small pot March - April.
Transplant and grow on in larger pots when large enough to handle.
For greenhouse or polytunnel growing plant out into either larger pots, growbags or the ground when more established and provide a sturdy support.
For outdoor growing transplant outside after the risk of frost has passed into a sunny sheltered spot; plant out 24" apart in rows 24" apart and provide a sturdy support.

Average yield is around 4-5lb's per plant
