Bean Seed - Dwarf French Bean 'Tendergreen'

Phaseolus vulgaris 'Tendergreen'

Sometimes known as Ground Beans, Tendergreen is a splendid heavy cropping, tasty variety for open ground growing or starting under cloches. Being both dwarf in habit and self supporting this is the perfect variety for those who don't want the bother of putting up netting or similar structures.

The pale green pods often display distinct purple markings (which dissapear on cooking) and are virtually stringless. Flavour is excellent and they have a lovely crunch when eaten raw - they freeze really well as well.

Supplied as a packet of approximately 250 seeds.
