Broccoli Seed - Calabrese Long Season Cropping Blend

Brassica oleracea (Italica Group)

Every supermarket sells Calabrese and calls it Broccoli which in reality it isn't - sometimes its known as Green Sprouting Broccoli but that's as close as it gets. We can't see anything wrong with the name Calabrese.

It is an excellent and very versatile vegetable with a far more mild taste than purple and white sprouting types - perfect for steaming, stir-fries, gratins and all sorts of things including eating raw in salads.

We doubt if you will beat our selection, which is repeat sprouting from June until November. A blend of varieties to ensure continued cropping.

This vegetable is especially good for freezing and nutritionally rich in vitamins.

Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects if allowed to 'go over' and flower (so if you have room leave any plants that go to far in than pulling them out straight away).

Supplied as a packet of approximately 70 seeds.
