There may be newer varieties - but, in our opinion, for taste and texture this is truly hard to beat! Without the need to exclude light from the stems it will produce creamy white stems with a mild and sweet flavour.

With a compact and tidy habit, the plants will mature to around 26" (65 cm) high.

  • Sow under protection March - April in modules or small pots. Barely cover the seed.
  • Grow on under protection allowing the plants to root out fully and produce a reasonable amount of leaf.
  • Plant out 12" - 18" (30 - 45 cm) apart in rows 12" - 18" (30 - 45 cm) apart in late May / early June and after all fear of frost.
  • Do not be in too much of a rush to plant out - as premature planting when cold will cause bolting.
  • Top Tips
  • Celery prefers a deep and rich soil.
  • Watering shortly before harvest will make your Celery store for longer.

Supplied as a packet of approximately 200 seeds.

I purchase trees, and fruit bushes and canes about six weeks ago. Every item is doing exceptionally well and I very pleased with the purchase. The plants were far more advanced and healthier than those I have purchased from other on-line/catalogue companies. I will be back. Thank you.
