Developed in 1997 by our friends at the Chilli Pepper Institute of New Mexico State University (CPI), this is in effect a multicoloured Jalapeño chilli - but with far more heat and flavour.

Starting off bright green, the fruits mature to a bright yellow - then to orange and finally red; fantastic for brightening up the greenhouse or garden and even better when taken into the kitchen and used for making technicolour culinary creations.

Fruits measure an average of 2" - 3" (5 - 7.5 cm) in length and 1" (2.5 cm) in diameter. The plant has a compact and bushy habit, growing 2 - 3 feet (60 - 90 cm) tall with a similar spread.

Origin: New Mexico.
Heat: Extremely Hot.
