Bred by our friends at the Chilli Pepper Institute of New Mexico State University (CPI), this Sweet Pepper certainly has no heat; what it does have is an intensity of flavour and colour possibly not seen or tasted before.

The slender 6" - 8" (15 - 20 cm) long fruits mature to a gorgeous, almost luxuriant, deep red colour with a sweetness all of their own.

Whilst these are perfect for using in the conventional way you would any other pepper, this variety was in fact bred for drying and making into Paprika due its very thick flesh - this really is a 'meaty' pepper.

Whether you choose to use it for Paprika, adding deep colour to stir fry's and salsas, roasting and using to top bruschetta, or preserving in oil, we really cannot recommend this variety enough (and we haven't even mentioned its even more sublime flavour when its smoked).

Plants grow to around 3 feet (90 cm) tall with a spread of around 18" - 2 feet (45 - 60 cm).

Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.
