This old German variety is still, in our opinion, the best variety to grow in hanging baskets, window boxes or tubs.

Cascades of cherry sized fruit are produced over a long cropping season - the name which translates as 'Garden Pearl' describes how these can just hang like strings of pearls. Fruits have thin skins and are full of juice. Very reliable and easy, needing no stopping or training and due to is German origination it performs very well even in colder years.

This is a bush variety of lax habit suitable for hanging baskets etc- Do not stop; thin out excessive growth if crowding.

This is a determinate variety with a very lax habit so most suitable for hanging baskets etc.
There is no need to side-shoot though thinning excessive growth to allow light and air in can prove beneficial.
This variety performs well both outside and under protection.
