Of course the 'interest' to this variety is the tiger stripe to the fruits - bright red fruits have green or yellow stripes - kids love them. But don't let looks be the only reason for growing this old variety.

The billiard ball size fruits have a really firm and meaty texture, making them ideal for slicing when you don't want the slices to collapse. The flavour is well balanced - perfect for anything from cooked dishes to salads uses.

This is an indeterminate variety and best grown as a cordon (vine).
For best yields stop at 5th truss if growing under protection (3rd outside).
Suitable for protected growing only.
