This is a vegetable popular with Italian cooking that enjoys increasing popularity. It is often stuffed with forcemeat, grated cheese or prawns and baked or quite delicious alone. Fruits are either all black or all white.

How To Grow Aubergines

Sow under protection two seeds per small pot March - April.
Transplant and grow on in larger pots when large enough to handle.
Transplant outside after the risk of frost has passed; plant out 24" apart in rows 24" apart.
May also be grown under protection in either pots, growbags or the ground.

Average yield is around 4-5lb's per plant
