A favourite in Victorian times for both cool conservatory and terrace urns alike.

Rich green strap-like evergreen foliage slowly creeps across the ground. Come midsummer, arching spikes of rich blue (or on rare occasions white) flowers arise. A most attractive plant that would need protection in the event of severe frost. A lovely thing in every way.

  • Flowers late summer.
  • Grows to approximately 12" (30 cm) tall. Flower spikes rise to approximately 4 feet (120 cm) tall.
  • Thrives in full sun.
  • Happy in most soil types including poorer soils.
  • Plant 3 feet (90 cm) or more apart as these slowly spread.
