Malus domestica 'Devonshire Quarrenden'

  • Eating Apple. An unusual variety with a distinct strawberry flavour.
  • Best when eaten from the tree.
  • Self Fertile.
  • MM106 rootstock.

Supplied as a bare root tree pruned to approximately 3 - 4 feet (90 - 120 cm) tall including roots.

Pollinator Friendly

An unusual variety with a distinct strawberry flavour best when eaten from the tree.

  • Season of use August.
  • First introduced in 1676, Devon, UK.
  • Self Fertile - but pollination by another apple will maximise yield.
  • Grown on MM106 rootstock for an ultimate (un-pruned) height of 12 - 15 feet (3.65 - 4.6 metres) but can easily be kept at a height of 6 - 8 feet (1.8 - 2.4 metres).

Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.
