Thank you for my first order from your company. My herbs look healthy, but a little battered, but that was probably due to Royal Mail (Bless them!) for not reading alternative delivery instructions, as the plants arrived a day late due to the fact that the parcel had to be taken back to the Royal Mail depot for me to make alternative delivery arrangements. Unfortunately, I can't plant my herb plants today, due to the fact that it's raining; so they're having a good drink to recover from their Royal Mail ordeal. I will definitely order from the Victoriana Nursery Gardens again :-)

Apple Tree Sops In Wine
Malus domestica 'Sops In Wine'
- Cooking/Eating Apple.
- Red skinned with red flesh - and produces red juice if juiced.
- A really pretty variety.
- Self-sterile.
- MM106 rootstock.

Description
This really is a wonderful and most interesting apple - and truly beautiful. New leaf growth is red in colour and its flowers are a most delicate shade of purple red.
The fruits produced are (surprise surprise) red in colour - but what really makes this variety stand out is that even the flesh is stained pink - and its juice will run pink. Interestingly, if you cut the stems on this tree you will find the inner wood is also red in colour.
Suitable for eating, cooking (think of the wonderful colours your desserts will come out in when made from this), juicing or cider.
- Season of use August-October.
- First introduced 1832, south west England.
- Self-sterile - requires a pollinator (another apple).
- Grown on MM106 rootstock for an ultimate (unpruned) height of 12-15ft (3.65-4.6ms) but can easily be kept at a height of 6-8ft (1.8-2.4m).
Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.
Recommended by the RHS to assist in encouraging bats into the garden as the flowers are likely to attract moths and other night-flying insects which bats love to eat!
