Asian pear trees are a relative newcomer to the UK, yet extremely popular on the Continent – and deservedly so!
Very reliable and disease-resistant, Asian pear trees produce large or medium-sized round fruits (more round than an apple, for instance) which have a juicy pear flavour. We'd actually say they are just a little bit easier and more reliable than conventional pears – and cropping can be unbelievably heavy.
Large and juicy bronze skinned fruits. Sweet Pear flavour with very low acid. Partially Self Fertile. Pyrus betulifolia rootstock.
