Citrus tree, a hybrid of the mandarin orange and kumquat, with beautiful cream-edged leaves.
Supplied as a pot grown plant approximately 3 - 4 feet (90 - 120 cm) tall including pot.
Available from - Attempting To SourceAlso known as the Philippine Lime, Calamonding or calamansi, the Calamondin Orange is both beautiful and practical.
Its variegated foliage - green leaves edged with cream - will add interest to any patio or conservatory, while the small white flowers will scent the area with their fragrance.
The fruits, which look like small oranges, have a sweet peel and slightly sour and acidic yet juicy flesh, and have many culinary uses. In the Philippines, due to the warmer climate the fruits remain green; in cooler climates the fruits ripen to orange. The fruits can be variegated whilst ripening and look very pretty.
Thought to originate from China. Commonly found in the Phillippines.
