Flowers appear from early Summer and flowering can continue to the first frosts. As the petals of the flowers drop they reveal the beautiful central seed head - giving interest well into the Autumn

Growing to around 3 feet (90 cm) tall these are perfect for a summer border - and once established will prove drought tolerant.

Their stiff stems make them excellent for cut flowers, and they dry well too.

Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.

  • Thrive in well-drained soil.
  • Grow to around 3 feet (90 cm) tall.
  • Prefer sun or partial shade.
