Description

This really is a fantastic variety of Ridge Cucumber, that brings growing Cucumbers with true flavour, sweetness and seedlessness to the outdoor grower - hence its being an "All American Selection' winner!

La Diva produces a profusion of slender glossy green fruits approximately 6" (15 cm) in length. Not only are the fruits smooth (as opposed to prickly like so many other ridge varieties) they are also seedless.

This truly is a wonderful variety and sure to become a firm favourite with gardeners who want to grow 'proper' Cucumbers but don't have the benefit of protected growing space.

As this is what is known as a 'Ridge' type it is suitable for outdoor growing, frame growing or growing in a polytunnel or greenhouse.Being an all-female variety, it is best to remove the male flowers (identified by not having a tiny fruit behind the flower). If male flowers are left on these may pollinate the flowers causing the fruits to develop a bitter taste.

Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.
