Bought a few fruit trees from you last year, all going strong and produced well. Have just received two honeyberry plants, both healthy and good size, looking forward to tasting. Thanks for the natural packing, its lovely to unpack to find the plant, like Christmas again!!

Description

This lovely variety of female cucumbers are delicious and so worth growing, usually reaching 35 cm long. You will save a fortune on buying cucumbers in the summer and the flavour is just so much better!

A high-yielding variety of smooth-skinned green cucumbers which produces an early crop (and is good at coping with hot temperatures!)

From our own experience we have also found this to be 'burpless' - ie does not repeat on you or cause indigestion.

  • Can be grown on a straw bale, in a growbag or the open ground.
  • Mildew-resistant.
  • Primarily for growing under protection this variety will also fare well in a sheltered spot outside.
  • F1 variety.
Being an all-female variety, it is best to remove the male flowers (identified by not having a tiny fruit behind the flower). If male flowers are left on these may pollinate the flowers causing the fruits to become bitter to the taste.

Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.
