Description

Named for Mount Fujiyama, in Japan, Dragonhead 'Fuji Blue' is a stunning addition to any ornamental border. It's a long-lived perennial that forms mounds of glossy green needle-like leaves. These are topped by flower spikes of brilliant blue, with pale blue lips, that appear between June and August, reaching a height of 12 inches (30 cm).

For all its exotic looks, this plant is easy to please, equally at home in perennial borders, rock gardens or containers. Happy in full sun or semi-shade, it's not fussy about its soil so long as it's well drained. It's also drought-tolerant.
