Description

From Iceland to the Orient - could we get further apart?

This blend of seed will produce a glorious display of flower - from the delicate lemon yellow flowers of the Icelandic Poppy that stands proudly above the rosette of hairy pale green foliage - to the beautiful ruffled flowers of the Oriental Poppy, in shades of salmon, orange, scarlet, white, pink, crimson and mahogany.

Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.

  • Hardy Biennial / Hardy Herbaceous Perennial.
  • Excellent for Cut Flowers.
  • Flower June - September.
  • Sow May to June in well prepared seed bed outside.
  • Sow thinly in " (0.5 cm) drills 10" (25 cm) apart.
  • As the seedlings grow thin out if they become crowded.
  • Transplant to their final growing positions when they are large enough to handle, planting 12" (30 cm) apart.
