Our Feedback
Dear team, my Shirley Giant Onions are growing like mad - all my mates are asking how I grow them so big.I told when I received them as plants I followed your instrutions and just sat back and watched them grow. So I gave them your email. Can't wait to taste them. Be in touch again.

This really is a cheerful ground cover plant that just seem to go on flowering forever.

Being a form of Pink, the rich green foliage forms a dense evergreen mat around 4" (10 cm) tall. But the real joy comes from late Spring when bright crimson red flowers appear in abundance - just poking their heads above the foliage in the early morning dew or after a shower of rain they sparkle like red diamonds. Please note that sometimes these plants decide to be white instead of pink (this unfortunately is outside our control).

Whilst at times sporadic, flowering can start in early June and carry on until mid September and beyond. Quite exceptional.

  • Flower intermittently from early June to September.
  • Grow to approximately 4" (10cm) high.
  • Thrive in an open sunny position.
  • Suitable for ground cover.
  • Plant 8" (205 cm) apart.
